Apostle Marvin L. Smith was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia and is the son of Emma Ricks as well as the late Charlie Smith. Apostle Marvin Smith is a highly sought after prophet, preacher and teacher who delivers kingdom mandates to the body of Christ and proclaims the truth of the gospel. Faith In Action Church began and was founded by Apostle Smith on January 19, 1992. It is a church with a vision and mission of saving lost souls, praising and worshipping God, moving and flowing in the Gifts of the Spirit and meeting the Spiritual needs of the people. He attended Victory Life Bible College, Norfolk State University and Apostle Marvin Smith has a Bachelors & Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Friendship University. Apostle Smith was affirmed as an Apostle in March of 2004 and is presently working on his doctorate and soon to be released book, “Despise Not Small Beginnings” due to be published soon.
Apostle Smith is also President of Faith In Action School of Theology, which graduated it’s first class in 2006. Apostle Smith is a heavily anointed man of God who has a vision to see all come into the knowledge of the love of Christ. With honor, he was acknowledged and awarded the “Hampton Roads Hero” by FOX 43 NEWS channel for his Outstanding Work in Ministry and the Community in 2012. Apostle Smith is married to Denise Smith and they have seven children and eight grandchildren collectively.
